This routine starts off steady for those who are new to lifting yet the first days are important for priming your muscles for the work that’s ahead. Be patient, give every rep of every set your best and you’ll see progress within a few weeks.

If you’re just starting out, you might not know how much weight you can lift or how many times. That’s okay! If you can’t complete the set you’re on, try again with the same weight or try again with lighter weight. Eventually you’ll know how many times you can squat, bench or deadlift¬†a specific amount of weight.
